Guests from North Yorkshire (April 2024)

We have enjoyed our week in Frome, despite the April showers, but lovely to be staying in such a peaceful and comfortable cottage. So well equipped and a fantastic garden – the fox only seemed to visit when the sun was shining! Frome has so much to offer but we can recommend Old Bath Arms in Palmer Street – the steaks are fantastic. A visit to Nunney is also recommended for the walk, the castle and The George. Glastonbury and Wells were well worth a visit, as is Bradford on Avon and the river walk. Would like to have seen so much more – maybe next time! PS Our last evening at Castello – excellent!

Return guests from Manchester (Feb 2024)

Thank you Nicola and Chris for another lovely relaxing week at the coach house. We enjoyed walking around Witham Friary and visiting the historic Seymour Arms pub. Great to see young artists in Britain at the ‘Present Tense’ exhibition at Hauser & Wirth, and visit St Mary’s Church. Bruton also a great place to walk. We can recommend The Talbot Inn at Mells, for a celebration and the Mells village cafe. Despite the wet weather, the wildlife in the garden has been fantastic – especially the great spotted woodpecker and nuthatch. Best of all the screaming foxes getting frisky on the lawn! We hope to return very soon.

Return guests from Staffs (Dec 2023)

Thanks for a lovely weekend in the coach house. I think it’s the first time we haven’t got the picnic chairs out for a drink in the garden, but hardly surprising given it’s the middle of December. I opened the curtains on our final morning and saw a fox padding through the garden. Linda missed it, but she did see badgers on a previous visit!
